This short-term joint staff training event was a startup meeting in VTI Tielt of Belgium. This event consists of the mobility 2 expert teachers of Stredna odborna skola polytechnicka from Slovakia, meeting 6 expert teachers of VTI Tielt from Belgium. This startup meeting was used to make several decisions to make this project successful. MANAGEMENT: we made decisions how to collaborate, such as – Google drive to share documents – Trello to organize our planning (to do, in process, done,…) – Teams or messenger for online meetings (at least once a month) – Email to send documents DISSEMINATION: to disseminate our project we decided to use – Facebook (Instagram,…) to disseminate our activities – Web page “http://erasmus.kozart.sk/” to disseminate more info about our Erasmus+ project and workshops – School Web LEARNING, TEACHING and TRAINING: during this event we made a detailed plan for the several learning, teaching and training activities such as – Fixing dates (but with COVID 19 we knew we needed to be flexible) – Staying in hostels instead of host families (because of COVID 19, we wanted to stay as one group together) – Responsibilities for sending and receiving partners (preparation of several workshops, organisation,…) – Selection of students: they must to be final year students, have a final work on this subject, be motivated to learn,… CHOICE OF TECHNOLOGY: To have a good start we decided to cooperate with Howest department Energy management, because they have a lot of expertise on this subject. They helped us to set-up a reference framework for energy management and choices of technical equipment. We will use several technologies such as – Micro controllers: Rpi, SP/Arduino – Smart technology: Smart energy pi, Google hub, Smappee – Web server (Python, Linux) – Database (php) – Several sensors for measuring (current; power; voltage) – Lab test set up with solar panel / windmill, controller, battery, sensors, screen for visualization of generated and consumed energy, state of battery,… – Web page (Joomla) and we discussed about the layout EXCHANGE of TECHNICAL SKILLS: during this meeting we also exchanged some knowledge about: – Domestic energy measuring, saving, using, management in both countries – Energy policy in both countries – Smart control of energy.
